A local newspaper editor's recollections of Dr. Henry Shimer, who served as faculty and as physician-in-residence at Shimer College when it was known as the "Mount Carroll Seminary". Dr. Shimer was also the husband of the school's founder, Frances Shimer. Published in the "Auld Lang Syne" column of the Mirror-Democrat of Mount Carroll on March 30 and April 4, 1930; copyright not renewed.
